Hook and Hastings Organ, 1875

In 1875, when you first entered the church, the first thing that your eyes would be drawn to was the new organ. Colorful pipes reaching from floor to ceiling occupied the entire space to the right of the pulpit.  When the church was redesigned in 1896, these organ pipes were obscured by the wooden pulpit screen.  This organ is the creation of George and Elias Hook and Frank Hastings.

Today, some of the original pipes, still resplendent with color, can be photographed.
