Johannes Kirchmayer

Johannes Kirchmayer was born on March 31, 1860 in Oberammergau. He learned sculpture and emigrated in 1880 to the USA, where he established himself in Boston and was active as a religious sculptor. In 1887, he issued his works during an arts and crafts exhibition in Boston. He was an initial member of the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts. Since 1898 he worked for Ralph Adam Cram, a prominent church architect.  He died on November 29, 1930.
