Henry Hobson Richardson (1836 - 1886)

Richardson's contributions to Unity Church are three-fold. His most lasting contribution is the arch and tablet for the memorial to Oliver Ames, donor of the church. Also present at the church is the Richardson table in the Chaffin Room. Richardson's third contribution is conceptual in nature. At the time that Oliver Ames was planning to build Unity Church, Richardson submitted a sketch of a Village Church. Oliver Ames chose John Ames Mitchell's design.
